Magnesium and migraine...
A safe and possibly effective option

The evidence is accumulating to support its role as a regulatory mineral that may play a key role in managing migraine naturally.

Data from 3626 participants, 20- to 50-years old has shown that only one in five adults with migraine consumed their recommended magnesium levels.

Those who achieved their recommended magnesium intake through diet and supplements had lower incidences of migraine than those who did not. Furthermore, adults in the highest magnesium consumption through diet reported the lowest incidence of migraine.

These study findings suggest that inadequate magnesium consumption through the diet is associated with migraine in adults.

The study commented that the findings support further investigation but it has been my experience that magnesium supplementation has been effective in many migraine cases and is well worth consideration.
