Co Enzyme Q10 is also known as ubiquinone, a name that reflects its ubiquitous nature as it is found within all human cells. It is found in especially high concentrations in the heart, brain, liver and interestingly, the gums. In essence, Q10 is found in high concentrations in any tissue that has a high demand for energy (the heart, brain and liver) or cellular turnover (the gums for example).
Q10 is produced within every cell in the body but its production slows with advancing age and can be significantly impacted by cholesterol lowering drugs knows as statins.
Our supplement delivers a nature identical form of Q10 in a 100mg capsule size.
We suggest taking this supplement with a meal, especially a meal that contains fat or oils as this can aid absorption.
The capsule can be pulled open allowing the contents to be added to a meal if swallowing capsules presents a problem.
Note: the capsules are intentionally darkened to protect the ingredients from any UV rays that can break the Q10 down.
