Feature Summary This formula is comprised of essential fatty acids that work synergistically with PS to optimize brain function. Standardized for potency, the DHA and AA come from dolphin-friendly tuna oil. This formula is solvent- and pesticide-free, and is regularly tested for heavy metals and peroxide levels. Vitamin E is added to naturally preserve the precious oils. PS-IQ Memory is ideal for anyone seeking nutritional brain support safely and naturally. PS: Phosphatidylserine is a building block for nerve cell membranes and through that revitalizes all nerve cell functions. Although it is contained in each cell membrane, PS is most highly concentrated in brain cells. PC: Phosphatidylcholine is the nutrient precursor to acetylcholine, an important brain chemical (neurotransmitter) involved in both memory and thinking. In healthy people, phosphatidylcholine can enhance mental function and is needed to build cell membranes, improve nerve cell efficiency, and repair neurons. DHA: an omega-3 long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid is one of the building blocks of brain tissue and is the major fatty acid in the gray matter of the brain and the retina of the eye. AA: an omega-6 fatty acid. Brain synapses (junctions between nerve cells) contain high concentrations of AA and DHA, fatty acids that are important for efficient conduction of messages from one nerve cell to another. Recommended Adult Dose Up to 4 softgels 3 times daily with meals or as directed by a health care practitioner. Contraindications None known. Additional Information Children: Very safe for children. Children's dosage (those old enough to take softgel capsules) should be at least 4 capsules a day. Pregnancy and Nursing: PS, including the other phospholipids and essential fatty acids, are already found in our bodies, so are very safe for long-term use. Generally considered safe, however, as the effects of phosphatidylserine during pregnancy and lactation have not been sufficiently evaluated, it should only be used during these times if specifically recommended by a health care practitioner.
